The ICCSJ planning committee is pleased to accept abstract submissions for the Inaugural Conference on Critical Social Justice (ICCSJ) in Psychology. All conference presentations will be held in person.
Abstracts will be accepted for the following submission types:
- Symposia: Symposia typically include at least three presentations, each around 15 minutes long, followed by a minimum of 20 minutes for discussion. Symposium organizers will lead the session or appoint someone else to do so. If you wish to present a paper, we strongly recommend collaborating with colleagues from your field and various sectors to submit a symposium proposal. If you are unable to assemble a proposal with others but still wish to present a paper, research project, or other presentation, please consider opting for the poster presentation format.
- Think tank/roundtable: This networking session features a roundtable format centred around a theme relevant to the ICCSJ conference, facilitated by a moderator to foster open dialogue. Unlike conventional presentations, this setup encourages interactive, spontaneous discussions on timely issues. It provides a platform for participants to exchange insights and experiences in an informal and dynamic environment, ensuring inclusive participation and valuable contributions from all attendees.
- Poster presentation: Poster sessions offer an alternative format for conference participants to share research that has not been presented elsewhere. We invite posters on all topics relevant to the ICCSJ conference, including community projects.
Please note that symposia and think tank/roundtable presentations should include multiple authors, but only one abstract submission is required. Abstract submissions are due December 1st, 2024.
