This concentration is appropriate for students with a special interest in meeting the educational, behavioural, and communication needs of students with autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities (e.g., intellectual disability, cerebral palsy) and doing research in this area.

Using an inquiry-based approach, the program will bring together classroom teachers and special educators to consider how they can work collaboratively to support the diverse learning needs of students in inclusive settings. It will also prepare educators, administrators, policy-makers and/or other related professionals who wish to serve as leaders in designing and supporting inclusive practices in classrooms, schools, and larger educational systems.
