We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Lucy Gofton as the Director of Psychological Services and Counselling Training Centre
Dr. Lucy Gofton is a Registered Psychologist with the British Columbia College of Psychologists. She completed her doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia in 2014. She also has connections to the university through having completed her doctoral internship at UBC Student Counselling Services and acting in a coordination role for the Scarfe Counselling Clinic.
Dr. Gofton has training and experience in both assessment and treatment, and prior to taking on her current position worked in the community providing evidence based treatment for workplace injuries. Her area of specialty is the treatment of trauma related conditions.
Dr. Gofton’s research and clinical experiences focus on understanding and providing support for transitions individuals experience throughout the lifespan, and she looks forward to bringing these experiences to her role with the PSCTC.
