Dr. Mathew Gendron (he/him) is a registered psychologist and lecturer in counselling psychology within the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education. Supported by a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, Dr. Gendron completed his PhD in counselling psychology at UBC, with a focus on gay, bisexual, and queer men’s wellness, pleasure, and agency.

Scholarly Interests:

Dr. Gendron’s scholarly interests include counselling theories and processes, critical theory, and intracommunity resilience. Dr. Gendron is particularly passionate about gender and sexuality scholarship that exists at the intersection of these interests.
