Faculty Panel: Preparing the Summary of Activities

This panel session will introduce the annual Summary of Activities form and provide guidance on preparing a clear, effective, and well-organized submission. While designed primarily for newly hired faculty, the session is open to all interested colleagues.

Although the form itself is straightforward, the way information is framed and communicated can significantly influence the review process. The panel brings together faculty members who have both completed the process and served on merit committees to share practical insights, strategies, and best practices for presenting academic activities clearly and effectively.

Session format:

  • Brief overview of the Summary of Activities form and review process
  • Short presentations by three faculty members (5–7 minutes each)
  • Open Q&A discussion
