Dadaab Project Donation

UBC’s Faculty of Education acknowledged the donation by Worth Publishers of 200 copies of their textbook, ‘The Development of Children’, by Cynthia Lightfoot, Michael Cole, and Sheila Cole to the Secondary Teacher Education Program in the Dadaab Refugee Camp, Kenya. “I couldn’t be happier,” noted Associate Professor Jennifer Vadeboncoeur, who worked with Senior Publishers Representative Jennifer Cawsey to make this donation a reality. “The process was easy, I simply asked, and the team at Worth came through for us!” The Secondary Teacher Education Program is the result of a partnership between The University of British Columbia and Moi University, Kenya, with funding from The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, Canada.
