This presentation/workshop will explore diverse sexual and gender identities. Counselling professionals will be given information on how to offer respectful and supportive counselling to individuals who identify as having diverse sexual and/or gender identities. The focus will be on explaining the differences between sexuality and gender, offering tools professionals can use and reviewing respectful and non-oppressive language appropriate to use with these populations.
