CIHR, SSHRC, & UBC Affiliated Doctoral Award Application Feedback Sessions

ECPS Deadline for Applications:  Monday, September 28, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.

AND
Thursday, September 24, 2015  |  2:00 – 4:00 p.m.


ECPS doctoral students that are working on Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) applications are invited to attend one of the feedback sessions, where faculty members will be present to review and provide guidance on the application process.

UBC Affiliated Fellowships

The Doctoral Affiliated Fellowship competition runs in concert with the university-adjudicated Tri-Agency (NSERC, and SSHRC) Canada Graduate Scholarships competitions. Students who submit an NSERC or SSHRC Tri-Agency application to their graduate program are automatically considered for open Affiliated Fellowship funding.

Note:  Those applying only for Vanier or CIHR doctoral funding must submit a separate and complete Affiliated Fellowship application in order to be considered.

SSHRC and NSERC doctoral Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGSD)
Applicants applying through UBC will either be:

  • currently registered at (or were registered at during the year of application), or are on an approved leave of absence from, a degree program at UBC.
  • not currently registered at UBC; or are registered, but not in a degree program; and have completed all of the requirements for a degree program from UBC since January 1 of this year

CIHR Doctoral Applications

Direct application to CIHR for 1 October, 2015 deadline. Institutional signatures for CIHR doctoral research awards are obtained from the Office of Research Services.
