Land Acknowledgement

UBC’s main Vancouver campus is located on the ancestral and unceded territory of the hən̓ q̓ əmin̓ əm̓ – speaking Musqueam peoples (www.musqueam.bc.ca). These lands have long been a place of learning for Musqueam, with cultural and traditional knowledge passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years. Vancouver is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil- Waututh) Nations.
