Mackenzie Switzer (MA) is from Tsawwassen, BC – a small west coast community south of Vancouver. She recently earned her Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC, where she also completed a Human Services Certificate and a minor in Special Education. Mackenzie has enjoyed opportunities to support exceptional elementary and high school aged students through school-based practicum experiences in Delta and Langley School Districts, and at James Cameron Elementary School in Maple Ridge, BC. Her current research interests broadly include anxiety and internalizing disorders, school-based social and emotional interventions, and the effectiveness of multisensory strategies for literacy programs. Mackenzie looks forward to completing her M.A. at UBC and beginning her career as a school psychologist!
