Research Interests:

Laurie’s research takes on a social justice lens as she explores the barriers that minoritized groups in Canada face at the systems level. She is currently investigating the phenomenon of Child Language Brokering (CLB) in clinical contexts with newcomer families, and has previously conducted research in academic healthcare, the intersection of gender identity and continuing professional development, as well as Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization and Accessibility (EDIDA) in medical school.
