Jamie Bartfai (MA)

Jamie Bartfai (MA) is originally from the small town of Powell River, British Columbia. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree (Honours) in Psychology at the University of Victoria. Jamie is interested in research examining the effects of social and contextual influences on student performance and looks to conduct research aimed at enhancing the school social environment. She is also interested in the educational implications of embodied cognition and hopes to investigate the effectiveness of multisensory methods for early literacy programs. She loves the outdoors, hiking, running, and playing soccer. The best part about studying at the University of British Columbia is the incredible sense of community and immense support of the faculty and peers of the program. Jamie strives to create a positive impact on the lives of children with exceptionalities in the school system and is enthused about her path towards the rewarding career of a school psychologist.
