Military veterans’ stories are vividly brought to life in Contact! Unload, a theatre piece that provides a unique window into the real trauma that soldiers face during battle.

Prince Henry of Wales greets Contact! Unload performers/veterans in London, England. (November, 2015)
This theatre production emerged from drama-based workshops led by group counselling researchers for military veterans. The collective process involved various community members including theatre educators. Contact! Unload has become an expressive vehicle for military men to publicly reinterpret their struggles and experiences of transitioning from active service overseas to civilian life in ways that build resilience.
The Veterans Transition Program is at the heart of this project, in that the goal of this work is about men (veterans) helping men to successfully transition to civilian life, or alternatively transition to being fit for continued military service.
Note that there is some strong language in the piece.

Refreshments will be available.
