Congratulations to Eun Young (Key) Kwon, ECPS’ SPED Ph.D. Candidate, for being awarded the 2021 Inspirational Deaf Educator’s Achievement Award.
The CAEDHH-BC Awards Committee is honoured to offer this recognition to acknowledge her outstanding work as a Teacher of the Deaf in Deaf Education. Her volunteer work in Guatemala, cochairing of the CAEDHH-BC Conference and her interests in students who are deaf and hard of hearing with additional disabilities from immigrant and refugee families in addition to pursuing her Ph.D. in Special Education, is truly an inspirational educator.
The committee would like to present her with this award at their annual conference on October 22nd, 2021 via Zoom.
About Eun Young Kwon:
Eun Young Kwon is a Ph.D. candidate in Special Education at UBC, specializing in the education of the deaf and hard of hearing. She has worked as a teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in K-12 in Delta School District for the last 12 years.
