Congratulations to Angela Low

Congratulations to Angela Low, ECPS’ HDLC Ph.D. Candidate, for receiving the MITACs Elevate 2-year postdoctoral fellowship.

Angela received the MITACs Elevate 2-year postdoctoral fellowship for a proposal that she submitted with her community partner, ChildHealth BC (part of the Provincial Health Services Authority).

She will be working with Dr. Sheila Marshall as the Evaluation Lead for a new provincial mental health program that is developed to help families and promote social and emotional development in the early years.

About Angela Low:

Angela Low is a UBC Public Scholar and Ph.D. candidate from the Human Development, Learning and Culture (HDLC) program. Recently, she successfully defended her dissertation.

Angela’s research bridges social and emotional learning (SEL) and parent education, and she has been working with different community organizations and schools across BC to integrate SEL into educational and caregiving practices. She is also a sessional instructor for the Early Childhood Education MEd program.
