Dr. Kwon, Eun Young (Key) is an assistant professor in the Educational and Counselling Psychology and Special Education department at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Kwon brings 17 years of experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, having worked across various educational settings in the Delta School District and BC Provincial School for the Deaf. Prior to that, she served as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Korea, supporting young children with autism and developmental delays.

Dr. Kwon co-coordinates the Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing concentration within the Special Education graduate program, where she teaches courses in literacy, curriculum development, and the capstone project seminar. She also serves as a faculty advisor, supervising graduate students in the program during their field practicum.
