Lauren Johnston (MA) hails from Sydney, Nova Scotia and completed her B.A. (Honours) in Psychology at Acadia University. Though she is a proud East Coaster, it did not take long for her to fall in love with Vancouver and everything this beautiful city has to offer! Her current research interests include one-on-one reading interventions, and strategies to enhance the reading comprehension of students learning English. Her favourite aspects of the School Psychology program at UBC include its breadth of training, amazing support from peers, and the ongoing willingness of faculty to support student needs. Lauren looks forward to applying the many skills she continues to learn at UBC to helping children and families succeed in their schools and communities.
