We are pleased and excited to welcome Dr. Anusha Kassan.
Dr. Kassan is joining us as an Associate Professor (under review) for the High Impact Position in Child & Youth in Mental Health. Dr. Kassan comes from the University of Calgary where she was an Associate Professor in the Werklund School of Education. Dr. Kassan’s scholarly interests are informed by her own bi-cultural identity. As such, her program of study reflects an overarching social justice lens. Her research presently includes two major foci. First, she is studying migration experiences across different groups (i.e., newcomer youth, women, LGBTQ peoples). Second, she is researching teaching and learning, investigating cultural and social justice responsiveness among graduate students and supervisors. She was the Past-Chair for the CPA Section on Counselling Psychology.
