How Two Faculty, Working in Distinctly Separate Areas, Can Successfully Collaborate

Drs. Anita Hubley and Joanna Cannon

Drs. Anita Hubley and Joanna Cannon

Dr. Cannon brings expertise in language acquisition for students who are deaf and hard of hearing. Dr. Hubley brings applied measurement expertise assessing reliability and validity with vulnerable, challenging, or understudied groups.

On March 19th, the story of how they bridged their interests through collaboration on multiple grant-funded projects was presented to fellow ECPS colleagues.

Not only has the ECPS community learned more about their respective specializations and research projects, but also rediscovered how unique and diverse ECPS really is.
Dr. Cannon and Dr. Hubley’s relationship is a great example of the hard work faculty must do within such a large department in order to build the bridges required to form collaborative partnerships.
