Job Description

EPSE 301 | Introduction to Educational Psychology 


Qualifications:

Preference is given to candidates who have experience teaching in the areas of human development, learning, and culture and who have a strong understanding educational psychology. Previous experience as a GTA is preferred.

EPSE 301 will be delivered in-person; however, a good understanding of Canvas is preferred, as students will be completing online work regularly. Successful candidates must also have the approval of their research supervisor (based on making satisfactory progress in their program).


Specific Course Information and Requirements:

EPSE 301 will be offered on Thursdays from 1-4pm, and those who apply must be available during this time.  GTAs are responsible for making themselves familiar with the intent and content of the course, however they will be highly supported during the term so that they are able to grade using a standardized format. It is expected that all GTAs will attend a number of planning sessions and mentoring meetings that will take place in the fall and throughout the winter term. All graduate students in masters or doctoral programs meeting the general qualifications are welcome to apply for these sections.
