Marita Partanen is originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario. She received her B.A. in Honours Psychology at the University of Waterloo and her M.Sc. in Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. Her master’s research involved functional MRI and children with dyslexia. Specifically, she has become interested in early intervention for children with learning disabilities and the neurobiology underlying these types of issues. She loves the west coast, and her favourite activities are travelling, dancing, hiking, spending time with good friends and of course, musicals!
