2020-2023 SSHRC Insight Grant: Investigating the executive functioning (EF) skills of students with visual impairments
Principal Investigator of a three-year research grant that investigates accessible ways to assess EF skills of students with visual impairments (phase 1) and analyzes EF profiles of students with visual impairments (phase 2) to inform instructional needs.
2020: Faculty of Education Learning Transformed Grant: Creating special education teaching materials to advance Indigenous priorities in teaching, learning, research, and scholarship
This instructional grant was awarded to create interview videos with indigenous special educators, parents and students, along with accompanying learning materials and modules. The goal of the materials is to provide instructors resources to better address and incorporate indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing and learning within their special education courses at UBC.
