With a focus on effective communication, collaboration and leadership skills that promote sustainable client outcomes, this course will teach students to consult with individual, group and organizational consultee-clients. Students will learn to deliver structured consultation within various settings (e.g., schools, clinics/organizations and hospitals) with their unique timetables and goals. Students will practice case assessment and intervention (including program evaluation) with diverse consultees via a consultee-centered approach. Students will develop skills in training, diagnostic assessments, supervision and the provision of constructive feedback to ensure generalization of consultee learned knowledge and skills.
