This spring we’re excited to hold the 3rd ECPS Graduate Student Symposium! The symposium provides ECPS graduate students and faculty with the opportunity to connect with and learn from each other. Our goal is to provide students with a formative learning experience that includes a low-pressure, collegial environment to practice presentations and give and receive feedback to peers. Faculty are invited to share their expertise and learn from and with symposium participants as well.
If you would like to present at this spring’s symposium, please complete the proposal form. You can propose to present research in progress, class projects, thesis/dissertation proposals, literature reviews, conference presentations, and so on. You will be notified about your proposal’s acceptance by or before February 20th. During Reading Week, the full symposium program will be released and general registration will be opened up.
This year, we would like to offer three presentation formats:
* 30-Minute Talk: Presenters will give 20-minute talks on their topic followed by 10 minutes for questions and feedback
* 60-Minute Roundtable: 2-3 presenters will each give a 10-minute talk on their topic followed by discussion with the whole table group
* 15-Minute How-To: Presenters will give short talks about how to do something of interest to graduate students such as create a CV, do a lit. review, recruit participants, get published, and more!
