17th International Conference for Philosophical Inquiry with Children

Philosophy and ECPS, in partnership with the  Vancouver Institute of Philosophy for Children (VIP4C), are set to host the 17th International Conference for Philosophical Inquiry with Children here at UBC, June 25-27.

The topic for the 2015 ICPIC conference focuses on general questions around identity, inquiry, and diversity from various perspectives. We welcome conceptual and empirical research, as well as pedagogical analyses and new practices for the classroom.

The purpose is to foster a dialogue that brings together insights on how to transform children’s vulnerability and engagement in increasingly multicultural, diverse, changing, and ever more fragile environments so that they may learn to cultivate both compassion and agency.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Dr. Kieran Egan (SFU)
Dr. Charles Bingham (SFU)
Dr. Alanaise Goodwill (ECPS, UBC)
