Mary Turri

Mary Turri is originally from Kelowna, BC. She completed her B.A. (Honours) in Psychology with a minor in Dance at the University of Calgary in 2010. During her time in Calgary, she was actively involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary, which sparked her interest in education, and ultimately in the field of School Psychology. Happy to return to her home province, Mary is excited to be at UBC and surrounded by ocean, mountains, and lots of Starbucks. Her research interests include academic skills assessment and intervention within a Response to Intervention (RTI) framework, and implementation features of school-wide positive behaviour support systems, including the use of rewards and barriers to successful implementation.
