School and Applied Child Psychology

At the master’s level, you will participate in several practicums in year one followed by a year long school and clinic based placement in year two. Master’s students complete a 1200- hour (10 month) paid school-based internship if they stop at the master’s. Those who want to continue in the Ph.D. program complete an intensive one semester practice or 10-month school-based internship, along with your pick of specialty placements in settings such as schools, mental health agencies, health agencies as well as a practicum focused on developing skills in supervision, and a full-year paid internship.

You will also get support from your peers, the school psychology graduate student assistant, and an advanced student mentor provided to you upon admission.
