Congrats to Makayla Freeman on receiving the Faculty of Education EDID Funding Grants for 2022-2023
Congrats to Makayla Freeman on receiving the Faculty of Education Student Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, & Decolonization (EDID) Funding Grants for 2022-2023, created to support student-led EDID initiatives. The Faculty of Education sent out a call in December 2022 and received many proposals that supported the advancement of the Faculty’s and UBC’s EDID, anti-racism, and inclusive excellence efforts.
A student adjudication committee, consisting of Conan Lee, Karin Wiebe, Roshni Kumari and Tonje Molyneux, reviewed the proposals and made recommendations. Dr. Reg D’Silva, Associate Dean, Equity & Strategic Programs chaired the committee.
A full list of the funded projects is included below, with more detailed information about the projects to be posted on the Faculty’s equity webpage in the coming weeks.
