General Program (MA)

Full standing is granted to those applicants who have completed EPSE 312 (Introduction to the Study of Exceptional Children) or EPSE 317 (Development and Exceptionality in the Regular Classroom), EPSE 482 (Introduction to Statistics for Research in Education) (or course that has been deemed to be a replacement for EPSE 482 ), EPSE 481 (Introduction to Research in Education) (or course that has been deemed to be a replacement for EPSE 481), and have attained teacher certification. The requirement of teacher certification may be waived where the applicant has met the University and programs requirements for admission and has adequate professional experience related to the field of Special Education.

Prerequisites: EPSE 312 or 317, EPSE 481, EPSE 482.

Choose 6 credits from approved electives (300, 400, or 500 level EPSE courses). At least 3 credits of electives MUST be at the 500 level (prerequisite levels should be noted).

NOTE: Students who intend to apply for a PhD program on completion of the MA should include EPSE 528 AND EPSE 596 as electives. Students seeking Behaviour Analyst Certification MUST take courses starred above as electives.
