As of June 26th, the search for the Faculty of Education’s Lando, Nevison and Spencer Professorships was concluded.
The Search Committee offered the following unanimous recommendations:
Shelley Hymel
be appointed Edith Lando Professor in Social and Emotional Learning for a two-year term, effective January 1, 2016.
Richard Young
be appointed Myrne B. Nevison Professor in Counselling Psychology for a three-year term, effective July 1, 2015.
Sterett Mercer
be appointed Chris Spencer Foundation Professor in Dyslexia for a three-year term, effective July 1, 2015.
All three recommendations are faculty members in ECPS.
The search committee evaluated that each recipient’s experience and achievements aligned with the mandate of each respective Professorship.
