This doctoral level seminar is designed to provide an introduction to the historical, theoretical and empirical underpinnings and applications of community psychology. An emphasis will be placed on understanding community based systems outside of the school including but not limited to health and mental health services in the community, the role of community, and how professionals working with children, youth and their families can make change at a community level.
